About Us
New Era Wellness started with a simple question between a husband and wife: What would care look like if people felt truly heard?
For us, the answer was care that feels personal, unhurried, and built around the whole person. A practice where you’re never dismissed or reduced to a single symptom—and where the people caring for you genuinely care about the work.
That’s what we’re building, and we’re glad you found us.

Meet Dr. Sherezade "Sherie" Munoz
Dr. Sherezade “Sherie” Munoz, AP, DOM, is a Florida-licensed acupuncturist and Doctor of Oriental Medicine who is nationally board-certified in Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine through NCBAHM. She graduated summa cum laude from East West College of Natural Medicine and chose this work because she believes good care begins with listening.
Originally from Miami and now proud to call Southwest Florida home, Sherie takes time to understand the full picture before recommending a plan. Her care may draw from acupuncture, East Asian medicine, cupping, herbs, nutrition, and other integrative tools—chosen thoughtfully rather than through a one-size-fits-all formula.
Whether you’re dealing with pain, stress, sleep, digestion, hormonal concerns, or simply not feeling like yourself, her goal is to help you understand what may be contributing and create a plan that feels realistic for your life. Sherie welcomes patients in both English and Spanish.

Meet Tammen "Tim" Baquero
Sports Massage & Corrective Exercise
Licensed Massage Therapist • ISSA-Certified Corrective Exercise Specialist
Tammen “Tim” Baquero is a Cape Coral native specializing in sports massage and corrective exercise. He graduated at the top of his class from Florida Academy in Fort Myers and earned his Certified Corrective Exercise Specialist credential through the International Sports Sciences Association.
Tim combines targeted bodywork with movement-based care for athletes, active adults, and anyone dealing with tight muscles, limited mobility, overuse, or movement that simply doesn’t feel right. Rather than following the same massage routine for everyone, he looks at how your body moves, where tension and compensation patterns may be building, and what may be keeping you from moving comfortably.
Depending on what you need, a session may include sports massage, corrective bodywork, assisted stretching, mobility work, and practical corrective exercises. The goal is not to hand you a giant homework plan—it’s to give you focused care and a few useful tools that help support your progress between visits.
Beyond the Practice
New Era Wellness has been years in the making—a shared dream we’re building together. Outside the practice, we’re a Cape Coral family kept humble, busy, and very loved by our dog, Milo.
We created New Era Wellness because we believe care should feel personal. The people treating you should know your name, remember your story, and take the time to understand how the pieces fit together.
Whether we meet you in your home now or at our future clinic, we hope you feel that care from the very first conversation.
Ready to Feel Like N.E.W. Again?
We’d love to meet you. Your first visit starts with a conversation—unhurried, personal, and focused on what you need.
