Corrective exercise is guided movement designed to help improve mobility, stability, coordination, and the way your body handles everyday movement.

It can be especially helpful when the same areas keep feeling tight, certain movements feel awkward or restricted, or you want practical exercises that are actually chosen for you.

So What Is Corrective Exercise?

Think of it as movement with a little more detective work behind it.

We look at how you move, where things feel limited or unstable, and which areas may be doing more work than they need to. From there, we choose exercises to help you move with better control and confidence.

Is this physical therapy?

No. Corrective exercise does not replace medical care or physical therapy when those are needed.

It focuses on movement, mobility, strength, and practical exercises within our scope of care.

Is this personal training?

Not quite. You are not coming in for a full workout or to see how many burpees you can survive.

The focus is on how you move and what may help you move better.

Could Corrective Exercise Be a Good Fit?

You do not need to be an athlete to benefit from sports or therapeutic massage. If your muscles are working overtime, we can start there.

Movement care may be useful for:

  • Stiff or limited mobility

  • Recurring muscle tightness

  • Movement that feels uneven or uncomfortable

  • Returning to activity after time away

  • Building better stability and control

  • Improving everyday movement

  • Supporting sports or exercise

  • Repetitive work or activity patterns

  • Areas that keep tightening up despite massage

  • Learning what to work on between visits

Not sure whether you need massage or movement work?

That is okay. Sometimes hands-on treatment makes the most sense first.

Other times, the missing piece is learning how to move differently.

We can help you decide where to start.

What Should I Expect?

We look at how you move

We will talk about what has been bothering you and look at a few relevant movements to see where you feel restricted, unstable, or uncomfortable.

We choose what is actually useful

You will work through a small number of exercises selected for your needs. We care much more about doing the right movement well than giving you a giant workout list.

You leave knowing what to work on

We will explain what we noticed and give you practical exercises or movement strategies you can use between visits.
No 47-step home program you will never look at again.

Massage can help address tight, overworked tissues.

Corrective exercise can help you work on how those areas move and function afterward.

When it makes sense, the two can work together as part of the same bigger plan.

Sometimes the Best Approach Is Both
